The main living area of the gite

The main living area of the gite

The gite makes up the majority of the ‘old Chateau’ built in the 1700s.

The gite is situated over three floors, and comprises of a large entrance hall with oak staircase, large bathroom, two double bedrooms and a single bedroom.

An open plan kitchen/sitting room has a table and chairs for dining, leather sofas and a woodburner.

The kitchen area includes a kettle, toaster, a cooker with a ceramic hob, a fridge and full size dishwasher.  All cutlery, saucepans, crockery and tea towels are included for your use.

There is also UK satellite t.v., a blue ray player and CD player if you want to sit back and chill or catch up on a bit of UK telly.  Lovely light rooms with beautiful windows overlooking the Chateau grounds and river.

The tower bedroom

One of the double bedrooms with antique French bed and beautiful views over the rear of the property and river.

The double bedroom situated in the tower (accessed by a narrow staircase) has amazing views over the rear of the property and the river. It feels like you are on top of the world looking out the tower window. In the autumn when the mist rises up from the river and over the fields behind it, it seems like time has stood still and you can almost reach out and touch the history surrounding you.

Private sun terrace

The gite has access to a private terrace of some sixty square metres (a veritable sun trap) for eating breakfast outside, sunbathing or for a barbecue and sitting out with a glass of wine in the evenings.

Table and chairs, sun loungers and a gas barbecue are included for your use. Although the private terrace is exclusively for your use, you are very welcome to enjoy any part of the nine acres that Chateau de Lucy sits in.

All in all, the gite is ready for you to turn up and enjoy a lovely holiday.
